Please read about the proposed re-development of the Oxford Place Centre and the consequent changes that will take place over the next 12 months.

  • The Leeds Methodist Mission is based in the Oxford Place Methodist Centre in the city centre (LS1 3AX).
  • The Centre has 3.5 lay staff and has several caring organisations as tenants.
  • The Centre offers conference and meeting facilities.
  • It is the home of the Oxford Place Methodist Church and the Leeds Christian Fellowship Church (Ethiopian and Eritrean).
  • The Leeds Methodist Mission Council (a sub-committee of the Leeds District Policy Committee) has oversight of the building and its use, and is responsible for the appointment of lay staff.
  • We have a deacon who is based in the Centre. The deacon has responsibility for the outreach of the Mission liaising with other organisations (both secular and ecumenical) to further the work of God in the centre of the city of Leeds. The deacon also has a chaplaincy role to the staff of the organisations with offices in the Centre.
